Saturday, 12 March 2011 = day from hell for me. D:
I had to work from 11 until 3... there was a meeting with a UK publisher. The meeting itself was fine (and I got a few free books out of it; the rep is so cool!) But then, because of the new shipment of books that came, I had to display books and that took up most of the afternoon. I didn't want to do it, but I had to. So it was really a halfhearted attempt at displaying and I didn't feel satisfied by it.
Then, I tried to work on my Abridged Script. It's just missing the final third and I'm hitting a major writer's block. Or, should I say, a major Abridged Scripter block (because I can write, just not for Abridged Scripts!) I'd done the first two thirds of the script weeks ago... then I stopped and now I've lost my mood and tone for the script. Which is problematic because this was needed, like, two days ago. With everything else that's going on... I am having so much trouble concentrating on it and trying to find the right tone for the script. *sigh*
And by "everything else that's going on", I do mean RL work stuff, which has been steadily getting out of hand since Tuesday. The situation now has reached critical mass and things are about to blow right up on our faces. The shite will definitely hit the fan on Monday and I do not have the time to deal with this, god damn it.
Oh, and as if that's not enough, today on my way home (well, to Starbucks), my car broke down. In the middle of the freaking road. I was with my driver - VERY FORTUNATELY SO - but my mom just had to go and create unnecessary drama. It was very frustrating. FML.
The only good things today are:
- Two of my friends from Japan have responded to my emails and they are OKAY. They're still feeling shakes, though. So I hope they stay safe. *hugs people*
-
machaocha is having a sleepover at my place. We're going to have a pity party and exchange woeful stories of our lives.
- I got two new Kurtofsky fic plot bunnies. (Uhm, yeah, apparently getting plot bunnies are a good thing. I think.
snapiphany might disagree. But in my defense, Kurtofsky is a relatively small ship and there aren't that many fics yet, so I want to contribute a few more things to it...) Anyway, one of them was inspired by a comment made by a fellow Kurtofskian. The other was inspired by Marie Sexton's Strawberries For Dessert. Heh. :D
I'm all written out right now. I need to get home. Fill the tank of my new car so I can get home. So... again, HAVE A SAFE WEEKEND, F-LIST!
