Here is an update of my Harry Potter feature. There's Twilight in it, so I'm pouting. But there's also good news there. Otherwise, enjoy the regular program of Life At The Bookstore with The Tomatoe.
Fantasy writer David Eddings passed away at 77... and I'm supposed to be topping up his titles. But I'm putting it off because I somehow forgot to order David Sedaris' backlist titles yesterday when I was doing the massive order worth thousands of US dollars.
Love this job. Really, I do. It's just that... sometimes? Brain gets fried along the way.
Thankfully,
brighterlater texted me this morning to say that
Alessio Vinci interviewed Tiziano Ferro. I survived on happy, fangirly thoughts of Vinci/Ferro the whole day (seriously, I am addicted to writing 'VINCI/FERRO'). I don't want to watch the streaming video on that link for fear of losing another pair of panties. I'll wait until I'm less obsessed with Italian men who are hunky and dorky at the same time. (What are the chances of that happening anytime soon?)
Tomorrow is Kinokuniya Jakarta Store's 5th Anniversary. Which reminds me of how long I've been working in this place. I passed the five year mark last April 1st, but didn't celebrate, because work was particularly stressful and unrewarding. Tomorrow, however, I might bring a cake for us .
... AND THANK GOD FOR LJ'S LAST SAVED DRAFT! Because my fingers ran away from me and clicked this tab close before I could finish the entry. Phew.
Now, I must go. Must catch a taxi home. There's food waiting for me at home, too.
