This is really, really lovely. It's a very nice glimpse into Riza's life and mindset, and how she can slide from being a soldier into being a woman.

Ooooh. I like how, even though the plot is very pedestrian ('Riza cleans her apartment and buys groceries'), what she remembers and thinks and acts like tell the reader a lot about Riza herself. Also love how this is so quiet and matter-of-fact, with little frills or fuss - a great way to present Riza.
