what the jesus fuck should we do?
so, um, yeah, we're kinda broke. and we're probably moving back to milwaukee. so, since we're broke, we're having a hard time figuring out how to get back there.
here's the thing. we need to take some furniture back with us- about a 10-14ft truck's worth. and so far, moving companies are estimating about $650-$1000 to move us. a u-haul/budget truck would cost $1500-$1800.
also, we need to take our pets with us- all 8 of them- 5 rats, 2 cats, and a lizard. our car has no air conditioning, so we can't drive through the desert with them, they will die. we thought about getting our air fixed, but we don't know how much that would cost and we don't even know if our car will make it over 2,000 miles- it's an '89 Accord w/ over 200,000 miles on it. but it has made 2 different 1,000 mile trips just a couple months ago.
we can't afford to buy a new car when we get there, but we'll need one, so it's kinda out of the question to get rid of the car. we'd only get about $1000 for it.
having a moving company haul our car with our stuff would be $1000.
renting an extra vehicle to transport pets would be $1000.
taking all the pets, and us, on a plane would be $600-$800.
selling our furniture (which we got for really cheap and almost brand new) would be stupid to try to sell and replace in Milwaukee.
I'm not old enough to drive a rental car.
my mom said she'd fly out here to help us drive.
