Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Why. Why do I always do this. I just get so caught up in life. I never update any journals, virtual or otherwise. God it's annoying.

I have done nothing productive since school let out. Hey, I passed my first year of college! With decent enough grades! Work has been work. Kind of slipping with my numbers, which sucks, but I'm trying to keep them up to the best of my ability (despite what my manager might think...)

I have contacts now! Which means I can wear these awesome mirrored sunglasses I found in a drawer of my mum's things. Free shit! Score!

I keep finding my paycheques disappearing quickly. New tee shirts... More CDs... God this is annoying. I'll never be able to afford my tattoo.

I've made my way back into drawing again... sort of. I'll post three pictures. The first one is legitimately by me, of Ringo from a picture at the end of A Hard Day's Night. It really doesn't look like him, which is how you know I actually drew it. Haa. I'm still enjoying my tablet. It's quite big (zing!), so sorry if it stretches pages.

Ringo:

The sad thing is, this a fluke "decent" picture for me. I've attempted more and more but they never look the same as my reference picture (not that this one does, either, but at least this one looks like a normally formed human).

Now that you know what my actual drawings looks like, I can post these "fake" ones. Corel Painter has this thing where you can put "tracer paper" over an image. I though it might help my drawing style, so I gave it a bash. This first one is of the four boys (you can barely see Ringo's mouth). This was my first attempt at this tracing paper thing, which may show. The second one was my, you guessed it, second attempt. I was trying to draw the picture for real but got painfully frustrated so I tried the tracing again. Notice they're both profile. I guess I thought I needed to work on that? It also helped me with shading a bit, which if you can't tell from my first picture I'm not very practise at!
The Fab Four:

Ringo Smoking:

Man I wish I could draw like this for real. But if I keep practising maybe my pictures will stop looking like number one and start looking more like number two or three!

Nothing much else has been going on. I tried mowing the lawn today. I guess that wasn't a great idea after donating blood on Wednesday. It kind of sucked. The last time I mowed I did the front and back lawns, but today I was half way through the back when I was so close to fainting I had to sit in the grass! Thankfully one of the neighbours came over and lent me his mower (mine doesn't have self propulsion(oh my God I can't spell), but his does so it went by sooo quickly!) I DID end up BURNING MY ELBOW on my mower, though. God. Another burn blister. I hate these.

Oh well! It's terribly late (early?) and I don't know what to do. I really want to watch The Beatles First U.S. Visit because I haven't seen it for ages but it's already 04h00! That would put me going to sleep after sunup! Poo.
