Warped Tour '04 was fuckin' awesome!
Nick and I got there about 30 minutes late, so we missed Billy Talent!:(
As we were coming in we could here Chronic Future playing on the Volcom Stage.
But! We hurried up, got to main stage, and saw most of Yellowcard.
After that...we went back over to where Chronic Future was playing and saw Motion City Soundtrack. So, after that...we went and saw New Found Glory for like 15 minutes...then we had to meet up with my sister and we ate. 6 fucking bucks for a drink and a pretzel! Craziness. And then we went back to Main Stage and watched Claudio from Coheed do an acoustic show. It was horrible!
But, once that was over with...we saw Taking Back Sunday! Yay! They were the best all day! So, we meet up with my sister and her bf John and her friend Paul. So, we were going to see Bad Religon, but my sister wanted to get in the pit. Quite frankly, so did we, but we couldn't get past the guard. My sister (she's crazy!) ducks underneath the arm of the guard and gets in. (Keep in mind she's drunk)
So...Paul gets upset that he can't get in and starts yelling at the guard and flicks her off and runs away, but he gets caught, kicked out, and banned from the ampitheatre for a year...yeah...
Anyway, after that fiasco at the beginning of Bad Religon we decided we really didn't want to see them anymore because, we were seperated from everyone. We left back for the Volcom stage and saw Letter Kills! Before that though, we saw a little bit of the Casualties on the other stage while we were waiting. All the guitarists and the drummer had long hair except the lead one who looked very out place and the singer. That was fun. So, we head back to main stage and see about half of Anti-Flag a little bit of Lars Fredrikson and the Bastards and then we go and see then we see a bit of NOFX and them realize we really should get a good spot for Rufio.
So, we go over there and we are really early, so we go to the stage where the local bands play and there's this band from Chicago (go figure) and they were really good! They were called D.O.R.K., but yeah...they didn't look much older than me and Nick either. Anyway, we stand in front of the Rufio stage and listen to The Briggs on the other stage. Then Rufio starts and there's a huge fucking mosh pit in the middle of it and it was just craziness. The only thing that compares to it is Thrice's mosh pits and it was raining like fucking crazy!
After that it was getting late. We head back to Main Stage and just chill there until it was over with. We caught Sugarcult on their last song and next was this band called Nocturnal. They had an electric cello, but they were more of an instrumental band. They didn't sing much. Then after that Flogging Molly! They rocked. They played all the songs we knew they would...We saw Story of the Year and that the show was over with...Oh yeah! I got a Silverstein shirt and their CD.
Nick spent the night last night and Petey and Sierra came over yesterday and played Double Dash with us. And I wrote a few songs for guitar. I wrote one about how much Bush sucks. Um..that's about it for me.
Have a kick ass day!
