I'm getting too old for this...

Back from Animethon this weekend.  Lots & lots of fun.  My sister & I stayed in the College Dorms which was too funny.  The midnight viewing rooms were literally across the hall from our rooms; which made for an interesting night.  Although, we actually ended up spending most of our evenings watching South Park.

Got to visit my Brother...and my nieces; who are sooooo cute.  Unfortunately the smaller one (Lily 4mos.) has complete kidney failure in one of her kidneys and partial failure in the other.  They're not sure what's to be done yet, possibly surgery.  We were really praying that she'd heal herself, but unfortunately not as yet.  She's such a sweety!

At the con: we went to a few shows, and watched a few events (which was very fun).  But most notably, we went to the vendors room.  And this is where I might scare a few people (but they were a really really good deal...honest!).

When you write it all out, it doesn't look nearly as impressive.  Although, I can say that My sister got about twice the amount of videos/manga as I did.  And yes... we needed it!

My one rant about the con, apart from the smelly weirdos...was the increased presence of old smelly weirdos.  What happened??  When did the con get so old??  Who let them in?  I was even beginning to think that I would stop participating in conventions and just buy passes to the vendors areas.  Seriously!!  What isn't creepy about a 60 year old couple walking around in black leather & capes??  How about a 60 year old couple making fun of you because you too are not wearing black leather & capes and are therefore not 'human'...  I'm was afraid. *shiver*

My Sister & I walked around some weirdos (because they were walking slow)...and were called 'jerks'.  I can't be angry, because I wasn't being a jerk (at the time); and yes, I am a jerk.  But also, this Dogberry quote from Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing' popped into my head.  It makes me laugh//enjoy!

Dost thou not suspect my place? dost thou not
suspect my years? O that he were here to write me
down an ass! But, masters, remember that I am an
ass; though it be not written down, yet forget not
that I am an ass. No, thou villain, thou art full of
piety, as shall be proved upon thee by good witness.
I am a wise fellow, and, which is more, an officer,
and, which is more, a householder, and, which is
more, as pretty a piece of flesh as any is in
Messina, and one that knows the law, go to; and a
rich fellow enough, go to; and a fellow that hath
had losses, and one that hath two gowns and every
thing handsome about him. Bring him away. O that
I had been writ down an ass!
