Got sleep. Slept late thanks to my alarm being mysteriously turned off, but not too late. Arrived at work by 8 on the dot, and I beat the boss which is pretty much all that matters IMO.
Had a meeting with said boss about my latest report. He kind of tore it up, not the content mind you, mostly the writing. He liked the information and findings I presented but my style needs some work and he's willing to work with me on it since he took a technical writing course a few years back and he says it did wonders for his reports. He actually said my report may be too technical in some ways and that I need to explain things out for the audience who may not understand it. Dumb it down a bit I guess.
I thought about this and it doesn't surprise me actually since A) my reports (of this manner) of yester-year were written for Japanese folk who don't want too much explanation of details just mostly data and pictures. And B) said folks don't have such a good command of the english language so they wouldn't say things like "don't phrase X like that...". Anyway some significant revision needs to be made which will be my project for the rest of today.
Will is being very cute lately when I talk to him through Mommy's cell phone. He just starts to giggle when he hears my voice. It makes me smile. Thank goodness Jen and I got some cuddle/relaxation time in last night.
