A Poem's What You Hold, When The Moment Is Gone

Poems on a Phone

Reciting poetry
off of a screen
is like swearing an oath
on a magazine.

It's thinking
you want to be alone
so you dump your girlfriend
over the phone.

You're saying,
"My poems couldn't be here tonight,
but we have them live
via satellite."

Electricity
might make us great.
But I made this poem
with ink and hate.
