Only 78 more miles to go...

I've spent the past couple days training for the big 100 mile cycling tour, that I registered for, on September 7th - three days before I fly to Florida for a week and drive my car back into the city.
I rode yesterday from Soho, after I got out of work, into the heart of the city, and onto the Queensboro bridge, which, I think, was near 59th street? Then I rode into about the middle of Queens, trying to ride back home, into Brooklyn, but some guy gave me the wrong directions, so I ended up just riding to the Queensboro bridge again, back into the city. I won't lie, I was pretty tired, after truckin' with the traffic for a few hours and hitting those bridges, so I took a train into Brooklyn at 14th st Union Square.
Total Distance: About 20 miles
When I got home, it was around 5:00pm, and I walked the dogs, fed them, took a shower, stretched, and then collapsed into my bed, falling asleep with my book in hand. It was sometime around 6:00 when I got into bed, and I fell asleep shortly thereafter. I woke up at 10:30am, this morning! 16 hours of sleep!!!
After waking I made an awesome smoothie, some farina and then walked the pups again, and hopped back on the bike.
I rode from my apt to Coney Island and back, then past my apt to Prospect park, rode the track (which is about 3 or 4 miles) and then rode back home.
Total Distance: About 22 miles
I know that every day counts, and that the day of the tour, I'll be fine and I'll do all 100 miles, because I'm effing crazy like that. But I won't lie, 22 miles got hard in the middle!
I just have to train more frequently and harder.
I've traveled about 1/5th of the distance I need to.
The good news is that my butt will become one for the Greeks to envy.
Au revoir
