Deep in the Lonely Mountain's caverns, Frís strokes her beard and sighs. They'd been well-provisioned for the long siege, and the River Running's spring supplies endless fresh water. But after weeks unable to burn refuse or cart away night-soil, the dwelling-halls of the new King Thorin Stonehelm are... something of a state.
She stands, hands on hips, surveying her motley all-male band of assistants. “Now then!” she bellows. “Brooms first, and the rest of you follow behind with the buckets! And if this hall isn't fit for Mahal himself by noon... it won't just be your ears that will ache!”
