“This is no postscript, my lords,” he said, “this begins a new chapter.”
Many heads nodded agreement - some faces grim, some weary… a few young captains looked eager, for revenge or glory, ‘twas difficult to assess.
Not for the first time, Aragorn, nah… King Elessar… chafed at the distance his crown put between him and the men at his command. Used to looking in a man’s eye to gauge his metal, it struck him as dangerous to trust nodding heads, but then… Lord Denethor had never booked dissent…
Strider sighed, but King Elessar proclaimed… “We will take war to Umbar!”
