Summary: Balin wants, among other things, for his company in Khazad-dûm to have better helms.  Answering the prompt “Note.”

Óin -
Should your party locate armory, please be on lookout for helms with better visors.   Would prefer to avoid another incident like Flói’s.  Orcs maybe noted weakness in our armor.  Archers-too craven to get near enough to look you in the eye-shoot you in the eye instead.  I digress.
- B

Óin -
Do hurry up and find helms lest Balin meet poor F’s fate.  B fixated on notion of going to look in Mirrormere despite danger-and Orcs not yet a fortnight dispersed.  Distracted him yesterday-’Let’s search twenty-first hall, and mayhap find secreted away some artefact.’
- Ori

______Endnote: Author’s assumption is that Ori’s suggestion led to Balin finding “Durin’s Axe,” mentioned in the much-damaged Book of Mazarbul in FotR.
