I can't imagine anything a Hobbit dreads worse than famine. This story must have come from Pippin's adventures!

Yes - the tiny grain at the centre of this would indeed have been Pippin in Minas Tirith. it is fun taking odd moments and twisting them around so that the hobbits come to a sticky end!

I can just see the little hobbit-lings gasping in utter horror like when Bilbo was talking about the trolls. :) These are very fun.
