To Learn Defense
“Enough!” cried Faramir, lowering his sword. “You are a far better swordsman than I, my Lord.”
The King appeared barely winded as he sheathed his weapon. His expression was thoughtful as he explained, “But then I had the greatest swordsmen in all of Middle Earth as teachers--my Elven brethren, Glorfindel, and Elrond himself. And I have been defending all with my sword since I was but fifteen.”
“I, too, first faced the enemy at that age,” Faramir said. “But not for any such length of time, or beside such teachers.”
Aragorn smiled. “And now we shall defend all together.”
