‘Where there is will, life endures’ ...How many times had she muttered those words? To busy to embroider them with platitudes... How many weary nods, hesitant smiles, or gritted-teeth grimaces had acknowledged them? She’d lost count.
She sniffed - lifted her head, as a hound to the wind... could it...? Was it...?
Athelas! And only one could wield it so!
