Snake!
“Estel? What have you got there?”
“Snake!” Estel announced with satisfaction.
Snake? Elrohir hurried forward to where Estel was poking at a pile of leaves. A small, mottled brown snake coiled there in perfect camouflage. As Estel jabbed at it with a stick, it reared its head, and Elrohir grabbed at Estel, hauling him backwards, away from the glistening fangs as it tried to strike. They tumbled onto the grass together as the snake slithered away into dense undergrowth.
Estel turned, glaring. “You scared snake away!”
Elrohir sighed as he picked himself up. “No, Estel. You scared the snake away.”
