"At the Fords of Isen"

Legolas had been fascinated by the twin sons of Elrond since he first heard of their existence. How must it feel to be two whose fëar had been one at conception?

He met them in Imladris - warriors who were each other’s company as they rode with the Dúnedain. Stern faced - as were all there, then, waiting for the Fellowship to leave.

Now they came to Aragorn who was, they said, like a brother to them.

‘But he is like a brother to me!’ Legolas thought, unexpectedly jealous, before acknowledging there could be different, yet equally strong, bonds of brotherhood.
