The first birthday of Arathorn’s heir was celebrated by a visit from his grandparents.
Gilraen proudly showed them her son.
At first Aragorn regarded them with a puzzled expression. The child then bestowed a sunny smile upon the visitors and gurgled happily.
“He tried to say “Grandma,” Ivorwen beamed. “I foresee he will be wise.”
“How strong the lad is: soon he will be wielding a sword!” said Dírhael.
Gilraen shuddered. “He is but a babe!” she protested.
“Time alone will decide his future,” said Ivorwen. “For now let us rejoice we can visit our grandson and watch him grow.”
