Estel lazily watched the babe’s first lessons - the infant lay on the grass, perfectly still apart from his eyes.
He remembered the patient... and some not so patient, elves who’d coaxed him into stillness to explore each muscle in turn. ‘Everything requires control’, they’d told him, ‘to move well, one must identify how each and every tiny action feels within the hröa.’
How they had despaired of him... this chubby little being, stumbling and staggering...
‘Even the plainest infant can steal beauty through grace’, he’d heard said, until finally, he too could walk silently, scarce bending a blade of grass.
