He held his stance, head high... Then he felt the change in the air... striking his cheek like a blow, making him wince. At first, he continued, grimly, but the rising howls made him wilt before the ferocious storm.
His outstretched arm drooped, his chin dropped... imagination maybe, but he swore his hair was lifted by their gales of laughter. Hard, harsh, long and loud the Rohirrim laughed - he’d never forgive them for it!
Théodred laughed too... ‘Ridiculous! Him, wanting to be a bard!’
...But Théodred saw the venom in Gríma’s eye... and later cursed he let the moment pass.
