Following on from the previous drabble...
Came the Thunder.
The sounds reverberated all around. They struck a resonance in the core of their being; stirred deep, primeval, fears.
Not just time had bent to the power of Nenya; storms, without, became gentle breezes and soft rain within their Golden Wood. Now they faced harsher nature.
When the eye-searing flash struck the great mallorn, cleaved it, flamed it, many were motionless... awestruck.
Not so Celeborn.
As if it had inflamed his very fëa he leapt up, strode forth, hair streaming out behind, all torpor dispelled.
‘Time,’ he thought ‘to put sorrow behind and to BE the Lord of the Galadhrim!’
