The First Time.
Hmm - this might be one of the fastest responses to a challenge of all time!
The subject 'mead' reminded me so much of a passage in a story I have already written that I decided to revisit it and reword until I reached the magic 100 words.

He paused, then “It is a good thing that I am an elf!”
