Faramir tried to relax his shoulders; he attempted a pleasant smile.

Haradric-style studded leathers glinted on the seated figure at the window.
“Amah - now I’m nine, I think I should stay up later.”
She turned, considered, nodded...
“I would concede that.”
Elated, Faramir’s words tumbled forth.
“And can I have a dagger like Boromir’s?”
“No!”
“...oh.”
Maybe a bit too bold... thought Faramir ruefully.
