*Squee* Eowyn getting treated like the lady she deserves, and by Boromir--instant crush! *grin* Er... yeah, I resonate with this in a *big* way. *grin* She got her dark-haired man in the end, though, even if it wasn't this one.

That's a nice surprise ending -- I really didn't see that coming!

And the drabble manages to both foreshadow Éowyn's later hero-worship of Aragorn and her actual future as Faramir's wife. Very well-done.

I can't begin to tell you - I remember so well how I agonized over this. It was only my second drabble! (I remember, oh, the first ten or so in vivid detail. After that, it gets muzzy.)

Originally it was Eomer doing the hair-mussing, but then I met his gorgeous cousin AND found out that Eomer was actually all that much older than Eowyn. She would have smacked him but good if he had mussed with her hair.

I doesn't really read like a beginner's drabble, honestly.

And I can assure you that, judging from my own experience, no teenage girl would like to have her hair mussed by an elder brother, no matter the age difference. :)
