The reality of their situation hit Pippin like a sudden icy cold shower at a summer’s picnic. One moment this trip had all been rather a jolly; off to Bree with his cousins… they’d stay at the famed Prancing Pony - best beer for leagues! There was that small nuisance of the big scary something-or-others in black, but… they’d ducked them successfully. Yes, they’d caught up with them at the Inn… but that Strider had proved useful… and inventive… bit scary himself mind…
But now… now… what new agony was this?
“What - no second breakfast?”
