That's beautifully written, and so bittersweet. Even elves appreciate mementos of very special times and people.

Thank you very much!
I'm sure that elves would appreciate mementos--or at any rate many elves would.

I have just had time to sit and savour the whole set - and this is a lovely, poignant, ending to them.

Thank you. ("No spik inglish" starts to sound like my usual excuse, he-he. But really, when lines of text blurs into movie-like picture, you loose the ability to say if it was a good language, a literary technique or anything else - you just watch the movie. :) )
Where would Annael live after that in your verse? In the Havens? He has a book about Gondolin - does it mean he would meet Tuor again? If you ever write about it, I'll gladly watch this episode too. ;)

Thank you!
It's good to hear you were able to watch and enjoy it like a movie!
Yes, I think Annael would go to join Cirdan for a while after that--so he would live in the Havens or visit the Havens from Balar and it's there he would meet Tuor again and learn about Gondolin. But of course Tuor leaves the Havens, sailing westward, so when Annael eventually goes to Tol Eressea, he would also be hoping to find out about what happened to Tuor. I may write about that one day, but there are some things I haven't worked out sufficiently yet.
