Legolas watched, his dismayed amusement rapidly turning to reflection…
The Sea! It was all so new, the scents, sounds, movement… so much water! It looked like the landscape heaved and rolled, as if disturbed from below.
After a while it became unsettling, this constant motion; he turned to the shoreline’s breaking waves, not quite realising these foamy curls advanced and retreated incrementally, and where he’d laid his bag and weapons was swiftly being engulfed…
Of course, this was ‘tide’…
A wave had made off with one of his shoes. It floated away, a small grey elven ‘boat’ upon the waters.
