The likely state of the floors in that place! Please do consider at least putting on a pair of slippers this time!'
'Slippers?' Galadriel regarded him in dignified consternation. 'Why ever would I consider wearing slippers?'
Delicately she lifted the hem of her white dress to reveal the pair of battered but sturdy boots that had already done excellent duty thousands of years previously on the Helcaraxe.
A/N: I know there have been plenty of jokes on the subject already, but it seemed to fit the bill so well!
