Unexpected Party Food challenge - Seed cake, cheese - 'Bilbo's Kitchen

Rivendell did its best to accommodate guests; accordingly within weeks of Bilbo arriving, rooms were created on the ground floor, with a tiny patch of garden outside of his own. And what should every Hobbit residence have? A kitchen.
An auxiliary grain store off the guest’s stable yard became home, albeit with higher ceilings than he was used to. They installed a fine iron range… to cook those homely dishes he missed.
Tempting aromas intrigued Elrohir one winter’s day; he followed his nose.
Bilbo was outside.
“What these? They’re seed-cakes, for the birds… but I can bake something for you.”
‘Copper wire’ …he was sure that’s what he needed. Bilbo, like most Hobbits, had at least a vague notion about how to produce most of the finer things to eat, and having tasted Lord Elrond’s spicy, fortified red wine… he knew just what would go with it nicely.
He was surprised it wasn’t already known, but maybe he could remedy that. First to beg some new cheese and old cloths from the dairy… then to pierce and re-wrap…
A few trials later… he had something to round off the meal.
“Blue cheese? Are you sure?”
“Oh yes, Lord - try it!”
