"You must have landed hard, Glorfindel. Your right ski is shattered. Did you break your leg?"
"No, but I'm plenty bruised from bouncing down the cliff. Guess I won't be skiing for a while."
"It'll take me time to make a new ski for you, so yes, you're grounded."
Helyanwë picked up the broken pieces of the ski and examined them carefully. "I wonder if this laminate might work for our summer fishing poles," she mumbled. "If I shaped it from this direction…"
Ecthelion and Glorfindel looked at each other, shaking their heads while the smith forgot they were there.
