No choices for Gilraen once she decided to return to the north. She made her place once again and managed to fit in with her people once more.

I doubt it was easy for her to turn her back on Imladris and the past nineteen years, but she felt once Aragorn left the valley that she had no legitimate reason to live there any more. At least that is my own interpretation of her actions.
