“Glorfindel, too,” Tindómë continued. “He has family in the West. And if you are going to say that he is ‘staying for Eldarion not us’, don’t bother. If Glorfindel thought his pledge to the House of Elrond meant staying forever with Arwen’s line he would have moved himself, his current Asfaloth, and all his belongings, to Minas Tirith. But when Arwen accepted the crown she determined that her children are, rather, descendants of Elros.”
“When you think about sailing or staying,” she finished, “just consider that you might be keeping your Grandfather and Glorfindel from the people they love most.”
