I have returned to the Elrondionath and their occasional friend and visitor. For these to make sense I must just explain that she is preparing, like the rest of Legolas' elves from Ithilien, to sail West with him. This time they are visiting her. Also - she is certainy 'not from around here'!
Priorities
“You know,” Tindómë said, “you needn’t worry about not being totally elven; after all, your grandparents, and your Adar, are all pretty major - your paternal grandparents are genuine legends.
“But how can I go and greet your Naneth, as Arwen asked, and say ‘Oh, and the Els may never come because, you know, the house and the valley mean so much more to them than you do?”
“Ouch!” said Elrohir. “It’s not like that…” But he didn’t sound totally convincing.
Tindómë saw a small crack in their bark - she prepared to stick her finger in and metaphorically wriggle it around.
