Generally speaking, I tend to want to shoot myself in the face when I wake up and remember I have to go to my ski job. Once Im up im generally fine, but there is no feeling worse than waking up after not enoug sleep, shivering in a barely heated apartment and realizing that is the warmest i will be all day. Last weekend was awesome though. I got to do race photography. I felt like i was at the olympics as i got to stand at the finish area where I learned this important lesson: The best racers to watch are 10-14 year olds. Why? Answer being they are fearless, go too fast, and have no idea how to stop. I saw 3 kids go through the finish fence and one miss it entirely and get clotheslined by the rope at the ski lift. amazing.
I still have no idea what I am doing for next year, but i had a conversation with my good friend Lenny who mentioned he might feel so inclined to join me in an apartment. I dont know how many people have had the misfortune of hanging out with lenny and i but the Scrubs song Man Love pretty much nails it. To live with lenny would be the most insane experience of my life. Plus girls would be pounding down the doors to get to him and im sure one of them would have to settle for me.
In other news ON THE ROAD is the most amazing book ive ever read in my entire life.
