Fëanor wielded no sword, but words sharper than any blade were his weapon, and the light of his eyes was terrible to behold.

He was a firestorm unleashed.

Yet some were not blinded and perceived more: The calm wisdom to his storm, all but eclipsed in the shadows he cast.

She was as the depths of the sea, untouched by the strongest of winds, able to quench every fire in the end.

He paced, she stood. He threatened, she counselled. He raged, she whispered.

His strength waned. His fire cooled.
He trembled. She touched.
He stilled, turned homeward.

She smiled.
