*sniff*

It's just as pretty as when I read it the first time.

(btw, I haven't forgotten that I owe you and... *mental tally*... lots of other people drabbles... I'll get to it, promise!)

I'm so glad that you like it! I would never have thought of it, were it not for your prompt. Thank you, again!

Take your time. This is the time of year that is loaded with finals, so I compltely understand any delay! :)

Very beautiful, and a thought provoking point of view. The Vanyar are the forgotten people, I think.

Thank you very much! I'm glad that you like it. I've never tried to write from Ingwë's perspective, but once I got the prompt, he seemed like the natural choice. It took me a while to break out of apathy toward the Vanyar... I always thought of them to be, as Marnie said, "shiny and blond and holy." Poor Elves.

Again, thank you!

Very pretty. The Vanyar took up arms to fight for those who'd abandoned them.

Yes, I think that the Vanyar really got the short end of the deal here. First the Noldor forsook them, then they begged them to come and help them fight. I feel sorry for the poor Vanyar.

Thank you very much!

Hi, followed a link over from tolkien weekly. It's hard for me to sympathise with the Vanyar (yes, evil-obsessed Noldormaniac here) too much in a non-detached way, but you make me do just that with these words:

"They ask you to die for them, thought Ingwë sadly.

Do it."

Just great.

Oh, thank you! I'm a Noldormaniac myself (Malgor is my hero), but I did feel sorry for the Vanyar here. I'm glad that you liked it... and it's good to have a new perspective. :)

Thank you!

Already commented on your journal, but this is a lovely piece. More than lovely - I'm (still) speechless.
