Ok, was the dirtyness there or did I imagine it? See, when I read that first line it wasn't reading that I pictured making him go blind. It was... something... else. Something dirty.

I'm not really a fan of Boromir/Faramir - incest isn't my thang - but I was giggling too much over the implied onenism to mind. You were implying that, right?

*cough*Faramir enjoying porn*cough*

*cackles weakly*

I did have the "masturbation as cause of blindness" line in mind when I wrote Boromir's remark, though Faramir is only just reading. But who knows what kind of racy stuff is buried in the Tower archives? And maybe it's a certain kind of mental... uh, stimulation *grin*

My mind is now going mad imagining titles for Gondorian dirty mags. I blame you for this. It's bad enough that Frodo was clearly 'enjoying a good book' in his first scene in FotR, but now I have thoughts of Faramir...

How about 'Shield Maidens'? Although that could just as easily be a womens' mag. 'Playdunadan'? Nah, that's just silly.

*evil laughter can be heard*

Or for the Caligula-types... Playdwarf?

Hm. Trying to think of good Gondorian girly mags is difficult, as the problem with patriarchal societies is that most of the imagery tends to be phallic. "Ever seen the White Tower?" and all.

"Ever seen the White Tower?" and all

*is glad not to be drinking at this moment, because liquids and keyboards do not mix*

I'm quite taken with Playdwarf, although Playelf is more my cup of tea - and Aragorn's.

So, all towers are phallic symbols? Gosh, what were the Numenoreans making up for? They certainly like their big... strong towers.

Heh. I think Elves wouldn't really go for the near-sleazy Maxim-type of publication... they would be into aesthetic porn, like the photography-book kind in Barnes & Noble, that're shrink-wrapped so Impressionable Young Minds can't get at them. *can't believe she's having a conversation about Elf!porn*

Yeah, I mean, just look at Isengard. Someone's doing some serious compensating there.

Gosh, are you suggesting that Elendil the Tall, mightiest of Men, might have had a tiny willy?

I'd like to take this opportunity to appologise. It's all your fault. Elf!porn indeed *g*

And yes, it would definitely be tasteful and 'artistic'. Lots of attractive stylised nudes. Elven nymphs draped wantonly but gracefully over tree stumps. Really thinking about this too much. And imagining Legolas' carreer before he joined the fellowship. He fell on hard times as a poor elven student and had to do a few spreads for Playelf. Mind in bad bad places. Good bad places.

Let's just nip this in the bud before it goes too far.

Oh dear Lord, my crazed brain is trying to convince me that 'stories for Playelf' would be a good drabble challenge. To quote Smeagol, I'm not listening.
