Hospice brought in for Uncle Jim

My Uncle Jim has taken a turn for the worse and it seems like his battle against Cancer is finally coming to the end. He has been in Marshfield hospital for the last two weeks or so and finally got to come home to his house back in Park Falls. Hospice is already there taking care of him. The doctors say he has three maybe four weeks to live. The Cancer has now spread to his brain and spine.

This is really eating me up. It has almost been a year from when my Gram passed away from Cancer and now my Uncle is soon to go too. This is right around the time last year when hospice was brought in to take care of her. It's eerie that the dates are so close. I wonder if Julie, the woman who was so helpful from hospice is helping my family once again.

I wrote my Uncle Jim a letter. I'm not sure if that is an appropriate thing to do, but I did it anyway and I am going to send it out tomorrow. I just want him to know that even though I am not physically there I am keeping him in my thoughts and he will never not be in my heart or my memories. I told him how much he means to me and that I will visit my Aunt Joan, his wife, every time we go back home for a visit.

I found a picture of him from when he hadn't gotten Cancer yet. He looks so happy in the picture with Bradley, my little cousin, when he was maybe around one or so. Too bad we can't travel back into time and he could be that happy if only one more time.

If you pray, say a prayer for my Uncle please. Keep him, his wife, kids, grandchildren, brothers, and other family members/friends in your thoughts. It's been a rough road and it is nearing the end now. They can use all the extra strength that they can get. I appreciate it.
