I have recently been reading some very helpful writing tips by an author that I enjoy reading, and in many of the comments on his blog was a reference to NaNoWriMo. I'd been wondering what the hell that meant as I would come across it's mention many times. So today I googled it. Apparently it stands for National Novel Writing Month, where aspiring writers get together and try to complete a 175 page (or 50,0000 word) novel in one month. Starts on November 1st and continues to midnight November 30. If you finish 50K words by the deadline you get to add your name to all those that have done this crazy feat before you.
Anyway, I am considering doing this. I figure that it might be good for me to not worry about the quality of my writing for once and just write for the sake of getting 50K words onto paper. Let me know what you guys think...if I should do it...or not...or whatever.
