Beating the blues - day one

So last night loki showed me this awesome list he had aquired, called 'beating the blues' it is a list of 185 'fun things to do' i think the idea is because when you are depressed you don't remember or something. But the list is very fun. So I decided that I would do all the things. In order. One per day.

It will be an interesting experience for a few reasons. One is because it includes doing insane things like fly a plane. (I'm feeling depressed. What can i do to cheer myself up? i know! Fly a plane)

It will also be good for me to stick to something. 'Cause really. I suck at that. I'm good at sticking to the same self destructive behaviours and that's about it.

It's also already teaching me things about myself. For example I don't like sharing. My experiences with poly, and partners that flirt have taught me this. If i think i have competition I just lose interest. But yeah, so while part of me wanted to share the fun with loki and have him do it too, I knew that it would make it a lot harder for me to be excited about it. Plus I felt bad for stealing his new shiny thing. Projecting my nonsharingness onto him, in a whole strange sort of mindfuck crazy.

But anway.

Today's task was to take a bath. I decided that I would dye my hair while taking a bath, because this is what my mum used to do, and i haven't dyed my hair in ages. Mostly bc it's so dark that nothing sticks. And as expected, I got dye everywhere except my hair. (PS, Loki and Elise, I promise not to do rush hair dyeing jobs in our new house)

The actual bath part was awesome. At least at first. Slipping into the hot water was devine. And i really liked the part where it was so hot. It made my face sweat which reminded me of being in a sauna which i love. But predictably i got bored. I think it didn't help that i had to go to work, and was a bit stressed about some stuff that had happened earlier. So in terms of helping with depression having a bath didn't really work for me, but in general it was kind of fun.
