platelet news
well, i went to the hemotologist today. my platelets are up to 168,000. that's an increase of 128,000 from one week of steroids. so i'm happy about that. :-D
other goods news. i lost two pounds since the last time i went (even with me being on steroids!), so my doctor didn't bitch at me today for once. i was quite pleased.
my blood type is good to go on weldrone, so i'll start it on monday. my insurance will also cover it, which is good, b/c it's expensive. it's given to me through an IV every 3 weeks or so. it depends on the person though. some people have to come in ever two weeks, and some people only have to come in every six weeks, so we'll see. anyway, only going in once every three weeks for 10 minutes isn't bad at all. and i get to sit in the lazy-boys with the chemo patience and watch all my children instead of sitting in the blood draw chair in the corner. hahaha... yea...
so, i'm in a very good mood. no more worrying about my platelets, my GRE is over and i did well, and i get to hang out with roney today. can't get much better than this! :-D
