Face still sore to the touch from Thursday night. What could be a long story boils down to a karate class gone terribly awry, leaving me with a sore neck, right cheek, and shoulder. And comments re my "Jim Carrey face" from a (adult) student who, along with several others, couldn't get the bloody technique to work. So they kept trying. Next time, will fake twitching and otherwise apparently involuntary muscle movements and shriek a little like everyone else was doing, just to avoid the extra work.
Have begun strange habit of wearing a tasseled blue hat with snowflakes-I blame the weather. Prior to my walk home, I discovered I could sneak my headphones under the hat with only a minor effect on vision (ie, the hat was over my eyes). Upon reaching home-and a mirror-I promptly wished I hadn't made this wonderful discovery; while music is a plus, looking like a complete and utter twit is not.
I never thought I'd honestly miss the green. I like winter.
