"I'm running out of options."

"He's not going to turn into a warrior. Even without Dean. It's not his way." He considered. "Now, fall apart in a heap of angst, that I'd believe. Or go after everything vaguely demonic in a vain attempt to kill whatever he blames Dean's death on, like their father did. But losing Dean is not going to make him interested in winning any wars."

"Just shut up and do what I hired you for."

"You didn't hire me, Ruby-red. I happened to owe the Winchesters some payback. I don't answer to you Judeo-Christian relics."

"I am not a--"

"Yeah, sure, honey. Give me a call after you idiots have obliterated yourselves and those of us who actually give a damn about the world can come back out to play." He snapped his fingers and disappeared in a showy, and possibly glittery, cloud.

"I hate tricksters," Ruby muttered.
