Pairing: Matsumura Hokuto/Tanaka Juri
Rating: G
Word count: ~600

Summary: “Right, so could someone from Sixtones do the Miyatama thing?” “I would pay actual MONEY to see that.” That’s it. It probably wasn’t meant as a prompt but my brain took it as one, so. Here.

"I mean, they've pulled it off beautifully."
"I'm like eighty-two percent sure they're actually married and this is just their way of covering it up. You know, like hiding in plain sight."
Hokuto scoots over on the couch when Juri arrives into the dressing room and flops down next to him, looking curiously at Shintaro and Jesse who are sitting on the other couch and watching a video on Jesse's phone and, heavens, giggling at it.
"What's that about?" he asks, but before Hokuto can answer, Jesse jumps up to show the video to him, too. The volume is silent, but on the screen plays a heavily pixelated Tiktok compilation of Tamamori and Miyata's gay love trilogy on concert stage.
"Have you seen this? It's the best shit I've watched in- well, a very long time!"
Of course they have seen it. Hokuto is pretty sure that particular piece of adorable senpai ridiculousness hasn't gone unnoticed by anyone in their company.
"Do you think they'd let us do that, too," Shintaro wonders aloud. Kochi snorts from the third couch where he is lying down and scrolling his phone.
"Who are you planning to sacrifice?"
Shintaro beams at them. "Hokuto and Kyomo of course! The fans already think they have a thing going on."
Hokuto quickly glances up at Taiga who is still finishing his lunch by the table. Taiga is already looking at him. He narrows his eyes in amused vexation and Hokuto chuckles.
"No," they say firmly at the exact same time.
"That joke is ancient, and it wasn't very good to begin with," Taiga adds calmly, and Hokuto nods to confirm. He has long regretted anyone ever mentioning that he and Taiga never really hang out together on their days off, or that whenever they are alone in the same room, they mostly sit in silence.
It was kind of funny in the beginning, the way people made jokes about it even though both he and Taiga were always perfectly comfortable with the situation. But then the jokes just wouldn't stop and became rumors instead, and soon enough they found themselves answering absurd questions about their supposedly awkward relationship to a freaking Wink up interviewer.
"He's right," Jesse admits. "And I don't really think you could pull it off. I mean, look at those two!" He waves his hand at the phone screen where Tamamori is singing while looking at Miyata with the softest, sweetest smile on his face.
Juri purses his lips thoughtfully, looking at Jesse's video, then at Hokuto.
"We could," he says, grinning.
Shintaro's eyes widen. "You're right! Hokuto already looks at you like that all the time!"
"I- I don't!" Hokuto splutters, feeling his ears start to burn.
Juri leans closer until he can rest his head on Hokuto's shoulder. He is warm and relaxed, and it feels so natural and good, and-
"See?" Juri says. Hokuto swallows. He knows what he'll see if he looks down. He shouldn't. It's going to be a mistake.
He looks down into Juri's eyes. They're so dark and soft his breath catches and his heart flutters, and this is a terrible, terrible idea. He can only wish the others will forget it as soon as they find other funny videos to watch.
(Fast forward two weeks: Juri doesn't forget. Instead, he keeps coming up with new, increasingly wild ideas for their sweet gay love story. Shintaro and Jesse get more and more excited about it whenever Juri brings it up, and Hokuto wonders what sins he has done in his life to deserve this.)
