I discovered this fic from a link on your journal a week or so ago, and daaa-yum is it good. I hadn't expected another chapter to be here so soon--I nearly wriggled out of my chair when I saw this was up. Thanks so much for posting!

heh, I didn't expect it to go up so soon, either--I finished it in a flurry of "Get it done TONIGHT!" and posted in equal "Fuck it, I want it done TONIGHT!" XD

The next chapter has ten pages done already, but seeing as I'm starting classes again in a couple days, god only knows when I'll get to work on it. f^^;

Haha, I know that feeling! I'll get that all the time--for example, "Tonight I will learn how to pluralize German nouns if it MURDERS me." XDD

lol, oh, god German. One of my waterloo languages--give me an Asian language ANY day.

Although I say that too soon, seeing as my classes start again on Thursday. *death* My Japanese has gone to shit with two weeks of not using it at all.

heh--you know Reno had to get a "UR MOM" in there somewhere.

And I still think I could have done a better job with the pedo--I kinda wanted to work it into things more, where the guy was acting more like a pedo does, trying to get in good with the kid first. Ahh, well. If I ever have a crazy mad revision fest with this fic, it'll be that angle which gets revised a lot more. ...which would probably make everything more creepy, since yeah. When I was writing that, I was remembering this guy in my neighborhood when I was a kid (maybe six or seven) who was telling me about all these books he had and having a conversation with me and ended up inviting me in. My big brother showed up then and ordered me home, and HOLY WOW DID HE EVER YELL HIS HEAD OFF AT ME WHEN WE GOT HOME. I have no idea if that guy was a pedo or not, but I do remember his approach.

And I kind of envisioned Reno not really knowing what a pedo was--"pedo" is basically a slum kid's boogie-man. A kid knows pedos are out there the same way you know there's a monster ( ... )
