The Real World
I appear to have a car. It needs a little work done, but between my dad's help and the help of a client (who's getting free services from me in return), that should be taken care of. It's a dorky little '87 VW Quantum, and in pretty damn good shape for a 21-year-old car. Kind of cute, actually. ♥ It's growing on me, the way a mentally challenged puppy grows on you. Anyway, it was a gift from my uncle, so I can't complain.

In the event that I can't get in at UACCB this upcoming semester (which is a possibility, yes), I'll probably wind up getting a job... Hastings will be first choice, if they're hiring. It's almost the only place around here I'd like to work at. If all else fails, though, there's always Wal-Mart! :D :D :D :D :D... :|

Yeaaaaaah.

In other news, my sister seems to think she's getting a cat. This infuriates me beyond belief, since the entire basis for my dad's argument against my keeping Shoe was that he and Mom would end up taking care of her, and he cited my sister's irresponsibility with her mutant guinea pig hamster as an example. Nevermind that one of the apparent conditions is that Falon has to keep her room clean - even if she does, it's Miranda's room, too, and she A) never keeps it clean, and B) shouldn't be asked to do so just so that Falon gets her way. Basically, this is just another classic example of Falon being utterly and completely spoiled.

/whiny bitch.

I'm making myself feel better by buying things. ♥ The World Ends With You for USD$25, free shipping. Yum. ♥

The Legal World
Speaking of DS games, I finished Apollo Justice last night.

Kristoph, while terrifyingly manipulative and blazingly intelligent, is unspeakably childish. I still adore him, as I'm prone to, but really... all of this over your client jilting you for the infamous ~*~Phoenix Wright~*~? Come on, man. ... The revelations of 4-4 certainly put a spin on Kristoph's character, anyway. Childish, selfish, obsessive, delusional, static... not your average child molester.

On the other hand, Klavier impressed me greatly. Much as I've loved him since 4-2, I hadn't really been ~*~wowed~*~ by him much, excepting a few Crowning Moments of Awesome in 4-3. To pile this on top of the madness of 4-3 and the emotional trauma that must have caused him, and to see Klavier take a deep breath and smile winningly through it? Amazing. I liked that he didn't seem so drawn in by Kristoph - in fact, he'd suspected all this time. More than anyone else, Klavier has his brother's number, and he's not afraid to call it, when the time's right.

Then there's Phoenix. I could've done without the random 'Trucy and I are alone in all the world with our sorrows' bout of angst, but otherwise? What a magnificent bastard. I'm continuing to stick to my theory that hobo!Nick at least started out as a cover, to throw anyone who might suspect off the trail - look at him, he's pitiful; sunk to a new low, that Wright; we'll never see the likes of his face in court again; he's lost faith in the world, etc. I'm sure that over seven years, it grew on him a little. You can't pretend to be someone for seven years and not become them a little bit, after all. I smell Niou/Yagyuu fic in there somewhere. But the plan was always to return to court someday - however long it might take.

... I also maintain my theory on Edgeworth having left for Europe again and cut off contact because Phoenix was, as Phoenix will be, a douchebag about the whole affair and didn't let Edgeworth in on the plan, so Edgeworth thought he was totally off his gourd. After 4-4, Phoenix took the bar exam, and when Edgeworth heard the news, he flew back to L.A. to suckerpunch him.

Also, the magical contracting bracelets? I can deal with the whole tense muscles theory; it makes sense that the bracelet being tight on their wrists would give away the muscle tension, and while the whole Gramarye eyesight thing is kind of retarded, I'd buy it for a buck. But the bracelets growing or shrinking to fit the wearer's wrist? ... Psssssh.

The Writing World
Trying to get back into some kind of a regular writing habit. penombrelilas linked to prompt_in_a_box in a recent entry, so I went to check it out. Pretty neat, actually. I think I'll be participating for December. ♥

The RP World
Does anyone know if those two new Tenipuri RPs suck... ? There was the one set in a highschool AU with the cast as teachers, and another set very vaguely at a university, iirc. I'm skeptical, so I'm wondering if anyone knows the mods/potential players.

i still have an attorney problem, promptinabox!, writing, car!, games, rikkai d1, family, phoenix wright, animanga: tenipuri, twewy, life, college, roleplaying
