A time of great events.
Man, has tonight been chaotic.
My modem almost went on me earlier, then sprang back to life when I was pinging purple.com, like, "JAY-KAY! :D :D :D" which, you know, wasn't funny, because Bleach 116 released tonight, and hot damn, Arrancar have never sounded so fine. Suwabe Jun'ichi is standing firmly in my top five now like he's always been.
The anon meme (which I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about, lawlz) provided -- oh fuck hell. *Puts "Koori no Emperor" on repeat already so she can stop clicking back on it over and over.* -- mixed amounts of distaste and amusement. There were some high points and some low points, and I actually deigned to hop off my pedestal and go roll in the mud with the rest of them this time.
High Points:
- "Phoenixes need to die in a fire. Why do you hate phoenixes?" I thought I'd never stop laughing, and I still don't know why.
- Reccing just about everyone in the world, including Julie, Donya, Jun, Whisper and Kessie (and others, but fuck if I remember who).
- Mentioning my own name to see the results (and getting only minimal feedback, to my own surprise). I know, dramawhore alert. Really, though, I was just curious.
- Reading legitimate points on fanon characterization. Some people were intelligent about the whole mess.
Low Points:
- Needless wank about friends.
- People speculating on others' real life problems and pretending it has shit to do with fandom. Way to be an asshole.
- The usual bullshit about who sucks at writing. Way to kill the self-esteem of perfectly talented writers.
- Aja being brought up 34289378923482739526534784354 times.
- Aja bitching anonymously about being brought up 34289378923482739526534784354 times.
My opinions:
- I really hate that people let fandom 'ruin' things for them: pairings, schools, anime, whatever. If the fandom is 'ruining' your like for certain things, get your fucking face out of the fandom. It's not hard.
- If you don't like a certain pairing or a certain person's writing, don't goddamn read it.
- Canon is like Santa Claus. It's just a lie you're told when you're young, to give you something to believe in. :| It doesn't exist.
- Quit bitching about crack pairings. Crack pairings don't need an explanation. They're crack.
Anyway, anon memes bring out the 4chan spirit in people. That's never really a good thing outside of 4chan.
I also started a friending meme, which has successfully slaughtered my inbox and given me a permanent twitch whenever my email alert pops up, because LiveJournal no longer cares if you turn off notifications, it's gonna give them to you anyway. Not a big deal; Gmail groups comment notifications, which is dead sexy. Besides, if I really cared, I'd shut down the alert program.
Between that and a couple of random friendings, I have sixteen new people on my f'list. Pogosticking Christ. That means this is a welcome/introductory post, with bonus views on anon memes.

- I like mostly slash in Prince of Tennis, het in Bleach and het and slash in Ouran, but I'm open to absolutely everything.
- I roleplay (just 2nd_gen, at the moment) and write (thelettersix).
- I am a complete and total spaz, and will update my journal anywhere between 'constantly' and 'weekly.'
