scott (from CPE), lindsay, kevin and I did the st.marks trail this morning, all 32 miles! im going again on wednesday, if anyone is interested.
im in love with this summer, and what perfect timing. im past the whole "being productive" phase, relaxing into sloth and loving it. even work breaks up the week nicely with movies and computer games.
i told carly (older sister) about billie and she responded very older sister-like. she told me a list of things i needed to take care of, how much money it was going to be, how big of a responsibility its going to be. It was a preamble to breaking the news to my mom, to be sure. i still need to get a picture online, maybe ill do that today.
morningstar frozen foods were on sale at publix, so i picked up 3 packages of veggie steak strips. lately eating, for me, has turned into all asthetics. fresh bread from publix bakery, fresh green lettus, fresh baby swiss from the deli. i check out with an array of delicious looking food. yesterday i made some bar-b-q tofu that turnout real nice. id like to try alot of different ways to cook tofu, mainly working towards a SoulVeg style.
all this talk of food is making me hungry. we should have a pot luck soon. we should have a CPE pot luck and talk about fall semester. i had some beers with scott gunsaullus last night and he had alot of good ideas for fall. i think hes going to take on the website for us, and he wants to talk about getting away from the wage system. i would really like to see some young blood, cause all us older kids are so down on everything. im so sick of hearing kids talk down the activist scene. were all hypocrates, all guilty of the critisms we shout out, so why not get in there, educate YOURSELF, and try and share some knowledge.
