The passage of time

May 28, 2004 11:38

Many a month has passed since my last entry into this learned place. A lack of interest and little actual reason to write have both contributed absence and sapped my interest in reading from this journal.

Despite this, I find new, refreshing reasons to once again write upon this parchment. In constant pursuit of my mastery of the English language, I intend to produce a new, perfect article at least every other day. This article represents the first of my new editorial pieces. I look forward to hearing your comments and receiving your critiques.

For today, I announce the successful purchase of my first kayak, a wonderful device for escaping humanity. Getting lost in the back-end of beyond, exploring things the like of which most of my fellow humans have never seen, is gratifying in a deep and profound way. Included herein is a small sketch I have made of an interesting scene I discovered while boating upon Round Lake the other day.

I am ever in search of friends and colleagues who would join me in such a restful, relaxing, and fun pursuit as boating. I am always willing to consider a trip to the Great Outdoors. Like Roosevelt's Roughriders or an intrepid troupe of Scouts, we shall conquer the wilderness. Please do not hesitate to call upon me.
